Wouldn't the x86 SHA extensions be as good as an ASIC? You can get a lot of chips for relatively cheap.

The sad thing is there are certain IR wavelengths that are a lot less affected by the sun and nobody bothered to check for an outdoor product...

There's some bias as topics like these are often on top of HN. Extrapolate the 2 or 3 people you've met to all the programmers in the world - that's how you get some amazing in depth blog posts every other week.

In case anyone wants to play it for the first time - I would probably go with the Black Mesa remake for some shinier graphics and improved end levels.

It does seem to be for the more expensive diamondclean series tho I guess the brush checking would be similar. Didn't find any decryption in the APK, it just transfers it as is. Must be hidden inside the firmware as well. I don't

The app has the firmware embedded in it (resources/assets/firmware), not sure if it actually downloads a newer one or if it updates with the app. It does seem to be encrypted or compressed somehow tho.

So if a Belgian hacker is researching a Belgian company and a single server happens to be outside of Belgium territory, they're suddenly breaking the law?
