   If SQL Server is what the clients/users required, sure. I'd much rather run it on a Linux server because that's what I'm familiar with.

   SE is usually the vocational route. CS is what you'll want if you ever plan on transferring to an undergraduate program. Go with CS if you're unsure, you'll end up doing most of your practical learning on the job anyway. Scho

   Most popular Linux distributions, MacOS, and the major BSDs support QEMU & the tools you'll need. Use whatever you're most comfortable with.

   I think Electron is better suited for prototyping. I have a hardware/firmware background so those sorts of applications are outside of my wheelhouse, but using a web browser as the runtime for something that's not a web-app seems

   What kind of hardware? Working on machinery control, power, lighting, or communication systems (just to name a few) are all going to require different areas of focus.

   I always thought Electron was a great idea, but it definitely seems like something that should only be used for prototyping. There's some excellent software that uses it, but using the Chromium browser as a runtime is a dirty half-meas

   I'd study for my test, do well, and start applying to 4 year degree programs.
