Interesting thought. Matcha is powdered whole tea leaves, so one would be consuming far more of the internal ingredients of the leaf than they would by having other green teas, where the leaves are just being steeped in water. I guess the o

I wish at the very least the bar was made clickable or hover-able for more information. It's usually when someone prominent in tech/etc passes away, this time likely being Paul Allen ( https://news.ycombinator.com/i

Even 5-10 years ago both our Sears and KMart stores in the area were very run-down, poorly lit, with really no upkeep at all. Both our family and someone else's we know got really screwed on new sets of tires from Sears Auto that were

After watching a few videos of people trying surströmming, I figured they might feature it in the museum, and sure enough. It's interesting to me that foods like that, that have an incredibly pungent/aggressive smell or presence a

Headphones generally help my tinnitus as long as I have something (anything) playing in them, even at extremely low volumes, but it's interesting there's a chance it could (temporarily) make it worse! That said, yes concerts/

Yeah, I don't disagree- but I do sometimes wonder if those same psychological truths could have been derived without said religions. That said, I did read Harris' book Waking Up and thought it was interesting and his thought was t

I think the calcified disinterest in some of us comes from being raised in (and eventually leaving) a Western religious and conservative environment.

Yes, but do the people referenced in your quote know or care about objective measurements or do they just feel that things are worse? The sentiment exists regardless of the truth.

Other comments in the thread mention it applying to other textures too, so calling it a "beauty/skin filter" is a bit much, I think. It's probably just strong noise reduction being applied in general. I think noise reduc

I've decided to look into using alternate Music apps at this point (some have pretty good reviews) because the "Apple Music" pop-up I get nearly EVERY time I launch the Music app causes me problems. If I don't happen to

Actually quite surprised, their claims of increased performance ring true. My iPad Mini 4 and iPhones 5S and SE all seem significantly faster after upgrading. On older devices it is more noticeable. No more animation lag, hitches/delay

What's curious to me, in the light of your explanation, is why the app size didn't slowly build to 500MB over time, but jumped from 200MB to 500MB within the span of weeks/months. What could have added 300MB to the total so q

I am also very confused by this. Just a few months ago it showed as requiring 215MB on my iPhone. An update from this week shows 515MB (which is what the size is listed as in the app store as well). How did their app balloon nearly 2.5x in

Glad to see them continue to be phased out. At one point, a convenience store / gas station here in the US called Sheetz had baked goods with obscene levels of trans fats. Their cake donuts, as an example, had 14g each.

In America? Sure, there's plenty of negative narratives and stigma, often religiously-based, going around about people that smoke weed. It's not uncommon. Sessions' views are a good example of these. In light of the other wei
