We use kicad for large complicated projects. The tool works but you need to get creative (write scripts) to manage libraries and run simulations. It's also missing some RF features that you need to integrate external tools for. For sma

Yeah I tested a bit, but in the end you always feel that the game was designed around roads. I have not tested the latest DLC I think. I thought it was about airports only.

I have fond memories of simcity 1 and 2000. I currently play cities skylines but it has its cons. I hope cities skylines 2 will have less central traffic and we can zone without road. It's our best hope to a modern simcity. But this ar

Yeah, pulse/jack/pipewire was a bit of a mess. But since 2023, pipewire can replace both and works very well. At least with my hardware. I actually DO use arch on my personal servers and never had any problem, I was also able to a

This is interesting. I use archlinux as my daily linux driver, but for server it is not ideal as it is a bit fragile to upgrade (for example, if you have postgresql installed, an update can put a new version and you have to migrate your db

What is "cool", (or a challenge if you design PCB like I do), is that this is not true for alternating current. For example, if you have a track that does a L on top side, and copper plane on bottom side, with an alternating signa

I love tailwind. I would like the addition for perceptual color palette. I do it by hand with HSLuv and I redefine the colors, but having a built in way to build light on ark and dark on light contrast that look good regardless of hue would

I remember on my Mac SE 30, I loved playing with BW patterns in super paint. MacOS also had desktop pattern selector IIRC. I miss pattern in design in general. I'm happy if it makes a comeback.

I'd argue that compile-time is really nice exactly because it can be mixed with runtime. It takes some time to get a good grip of it, but in the end I realized that a lot of code can actually be made comptime. I agree that async is pec
