I always use plain text emails, but I won't debate it here, and I understand why HTML email exist. But I want to point japanese plain text marketing emails. Those are marvels of unicode asciiart blocks, separators/lines and arrows. They even send HTML emails as text sometime, and the only HTML styling is selecting a font.
