Java's Write once Run Anywhere is live in spite of Sun's Failure. I just hope Oracle makes up with Google for Java's Sake. Google is the only reason Java is not a dying Language.

There are too many sources and too many processes in world wide Maps data (Apple learnt hard way). I doubt Uber has the capability to have decent maps solution in short term (1-2 years).
