I feel like I'm going to remember visiting this website for years to come. Either because this is will be future, or this is one of the biggest bets Google has made and failed.

Got it, thanks. So looks like it is possible, but infeasible in many cases. This obviously wouldn't work over internet because of the number of tries required, so what is a possibility that this would actually be a possible vulnerabili

I'm curious why people ask about DNSSEC support. None of the major browsers support validating it. Even to validate the DNSSEC records by yourself, there is only a single website available[1] (which doesn't even have TLS). I want

I'm not a cryptographer, but looking at the attack a bit more closely, I don't think this will work. Someone let me know if I'm wrong. For this attack to work, one needs to know the full 256 bits, so that they can continue wi

Wait, so I was talking about SHA-224 which is SHA-256 truncated to 224 bits, not SHA-512 truncated to 224 bits. Nevertheless, does this mean SHA-224 is still susceptible to length extension attacks?

You are right. I guess I'll rethink SHA-224. SHA-512/256 is faster in 64 bit computers but it can't really take advantage of the hardware instructions unlike SHA-224. Prefixing a MAC sounds like it'll work but I'm j

My suggestion after looking around for the best hash function is SHA-256. Not SHA-512, not SHA-512/256. Not even SHA-224 because it offers no performance benefits. BLAKE2 is a good candidate right now considering speed. But SHA-256 ins

Yes. I can only talk about what I know, so can you explain how you think Germany and Spain are different? Are people there getting paid based on the risk they take instead of how replaceable they are?

See, the thing is, I think that's all it was. Hype at the start. Things aren't looking so well now. I've heard that the developers are continuously adding things, but it looks like the game has become a lot more harder to pla

People's payment is never related to the mental or physical effects. A friend of mine pointed it out that it is about how replaceable a person is.

No, I thought so too initially. The person is just hosting the project looking for a maintainer(he is hosting other abandoned projects too). Debian project is also looking for someone to maintain the package.

Also check out packit[1] a command line packet crafter. It is very easy to use once you really understand how to use it. Also it has no 'restrictions' on what packets can be crafted. It lets you get away with as much as possible.

I haven't heard much about AMD's ACML and ArrayFire but I'm not surprised. On the other hand, I think you're underestimating the fact that OpenCL is an open spec and therefore has support from the FOSS world. CUDA has al

They are very, very few cases where getting an expensive GPU - anything more than a Nvidia 1060 would make financial sense. The 1050 is a beginner card is it is perfectly fine to learn and run small nets. More importantly, you can decide if

If anyone here doesn't want to spend money on $500+ GPU (or the $1k+ ones!), then I'd suggest getting the lowest tier Nvidia GPU for $100~[1] If that GPU is a real bottleneck for you, then you're much better off spending mone
