I wouldn't care about the transparency on salaries and that type of thing, I think that has significant benefits. I wouldn't be willing to participate in the sleep sharing, or personal improvement tracking. I find that to be very creepy, un

In the last year I've probably put together 20-30 sets of various size (50 pieces to 1000 pieces) and some lego don't hold at all out of the box either. Lego is super easy to deal with for broken or missing pieces from sets which is the onl

I'd really like to see it changed so that consultancies are not eligible for H-1B visa application. This would eliminate the body shops pretty quickly.

For student tax exemption you would be best off referring to the following link. Deductions has to do with treaties, exemption not so much. http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/International-Taxpayers/Forei... > AC-21 portability doesn't co

The L1 works the way it's supposed to and part of the reason there are restrictions on spouses/children working has to do with how the L1 is issued. For example I've got a client that brings L1s (blanket L1) in at a rate of 5-10 a month. Th

* A foreign student can get a U.S. undergraduate degree, go on to get a Ph.D. at a U.S. university, all the while paying federal, state, and other taxes. Not exactly, depending on status these students are going to be tax exempt.

Enrolling in E-Verify is very easy and if the company you outsource HR to can't process E-Verify for your I-9 Forms I'd be extremely worried.

This doesn't surprise me. I don't get on a plane unless I have to. Between the crappy airlines, long lines at the airport and the TSA I avoid air travel. I'd rather drive most places even if it takes significantly longer. Most of the people

Look into STEM OPT extension. It's good for 17 months. Your student advisor should know about it and your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify. You'll need the employers E-Verify # when applying and you'll get a new I-20 from your school.

Depending on what the classification of the U.S. student hire is they may qualify for extensions. For example an F-1 student that is nearing the end of their OPT work period (90-120 days) and is working towards a STEM degree can get an F-1
