I don't think that flies, because the whole point of the .equals() method in regards to string is to avoid "object equals" and make sure the strings say the same thing..

I love metabase! It's something I set up for now programmers at my company, and honestly they don't even use it beyond looking at the dashboards I've set up for them.. but it's been a hit! Super useful tool!

I don't think the guy who you replied to expects anyone to implement their own SSH client to build a tunneling feature. The sensible thing you would do is use a well known library for that.. but that's not any less work than havin

Highly recommend checking out spacemacs! A coworker got me into emacs but it wasn't until I discovered spacemacs that I really got into it. It's pretty wonderful. Does a lot of the work for you. https://www.spacemacs.or

Well the thing is that it's code that's already been written, and honestly is kind of a mess. It would take more effort than it's worth to try and rewrite using a different GUI framework. I much prefer Qt but this was written

I've put a bit of effort into trying to make it work with the python apps we write at my company. We have a lot of electrical engineers who only write python and we're butting up against the limit of what the language can do as fa

It's natural to have expectations based on your experiences.. I think the person you replied to is just trying to help people who might misunderstand go based on those expectations. I think you're getting unnecessarily deep here.
