Well, to be fair they tried and failed to reproduce the corruption that was reported. While I agree that I'm not ready to dive into bcachefs, I'm not exactly swayed by this bug report.

Because those editors aren't your preferred editor? I don't really care about being able to edit files that big so that's not going to be the reason why I pick an editor.

Does it really matter? You're just reading a blog, are you afraid someone is tampering with your article?

The systemd transition was rocky early on but we're way past that and it works great. I say this having dealt with systemd in production since the early days and IMO there's no reason for continuing to hate on it.

I don't know, once upon a time I would have agreed with you, but recently I'm optimistic that MS is genuinely trying to break out of that behavior. Time will tell.

Okay well you clearly have a great life with a lot to live for, but that's not really the case for everyone. How about you don't judge people you're calling "tradies" for how they decide to live their lives.

Don't you just need to mount the UART device file to the container using a `-v` volume flag? That doesn't seem like a big deal if your container saves you from doing the PITA setup part.

Building LFS was probably the best single learning experience I've ever had! I built it in highschool and got credit for an independent learning project. Taught me a lot of things that turned out to be useful in finding myself a career

A coworker turned me on to emacs a long time ago but it wasn't until I found Spacemacs that I really started to use it heavily. Now I basically live in emacs and I love it!

Most of these are really funny, but I feel like they should have just left out the reasonable ones. There's enough of them that it kind of kills the humor after a certain amount of "actually this one is fine" imo.

This is actually a rather common thing to do.. I have functions that run shell commands in my spacemacs config to do things like this. For example I've got one that runs `date` to insert today's date in a particular format.
