Does it have to be? I think the point is it's built into Adobe products now, which will be fantastic for Photoshop/Lightroom etc users. Unless ofc you're genuinely curious as to how it's different to Gigapixel and not ju

From the linked article: >you may want to uncheck detect faces… unless you want Ryan Gosling popping up all over the place. Sooo not really a case against super-resolution, just a funny result of having used the wrong settings

This is pure speculation on my part, as I haven't looked into any data to back this up, but I also believe that a lot of conspiracy theorists become conspiracy theorists, whether they realise it or not, for the sense of belonging and c

I think most of the time when I'm searching for a video, my starting point is on YouTube itself, not Google. So in the case of a competitor, the site itself would be my search engine. Your point is still valid though.

Yesterday I spent 9h 31m on my phone (according to the built-in screen time tracker on my iPhone). It doesn't make me happy, but I can't stop scrolling. I think I have an issue.

How likely is it that one will get a job at the end of this? "Three or four months. Full time." is a hell of a commitment for a, what sounds like, 'maybe someone will notice you, and maybe they're hiring'.

Just curious (clicked on your GitHub profile), why Singapore? Do you remote work/freelance? I'm thinking about moving to SE Asia and working remotely. It would be cool to hear other HN user's experiences :)

The Windows Terminal, WSL, and VS Code has been a life saver for development on Windows. I've been using it for developing a web app (in Go and TypeScript) and so far the experience has been almost indistinguishable from my macOS envir

This is awesome and weirdly makes it easier for me to work. I need that constant stimulation. Total silence makes it difficult to focus (sometimes).

@OP Just to give a bit of motivation for learning Kotlin - it's now the official language on Android. Not sure if Android is of interest to you, but either way at least you know it's in wide use and clearly a powerful language.

That's not a valid design decision. Car seats too small? Lose weight. Look, I realise now it's a site from 1994, I'm just astounded by the number of people that seem to think this design is still acceptable by today's st

Sorry to be completely ignorant here, but what is it with these sites that have absolutely zero styling? 15 years ago I would've put it down to lack of understanding how to write CSS etc. But today it's almost impossible to make a
