Not willing to discuss the book itself, whilst I understand the usefulness of all students have access to the same content for teaching purposes, that should be done in the most cost efficient way possible. Whether that is using Openstax te

This. A subscription can work if a service is actually provided, as in regular updates, however I would say that's rarely the case and it's simply to make cash. Goodnotes, Pro Create, Affinity, all show you can make a fantastic pr

There is no need for a client/server model for most pieces of software, integration to existing cloud storage is far more useful than your server. Updates have existed for many years although less common as software was often more full

Same here, I have no interest in funding someone's dream. I prefer to support a mutually beneficial relationship with a developer.

I love Midori but even with the covers they simply aren't sturdy enough for popping in a bag without getting damaged.

I'd argue it probably doesn't affect it. I have certainly not seen any stats to support that argument. I most certainly would not wait to compete with the rest of the world to read a book once my spot in the queue finally arrived.

I have used it on and off on a Surface Go, but I would prefer a dedicated device built with linux and open source in mind. Starlabs Starlite is the first tablet device that is a true daily driver with Linux (Pine Tab is not a daily driver i

I don't believe that would be possible. Morientes of course was on loan at Monaco in 03/04 from Real Madrid and scored a goal in either leg against them to take the tie to penalties and subsequently allowed Monaco to go thru.

I love the look of this device. If it ends up around the price point stated or even a bit more I would buy one. Both for development and to support projects like this. Linux in tablet form is really my fantasy tech revolution that I want to

This reminds me of a limited time exhibition at the Mirakan museum in Tokyo back in 2017 (I believe it toured). It was focusing on Disney animations and how they wereade, in particular Moana as that was the most recent release at that point

Ramune is really the Lemon/Lime Summer drink in Japan. I have always assumed Sprite was different in Japan as otherwise it is basically the same as Ramune.

If it is Calpis, that is really easy to replicate, it is just yoghurt, sugar, and citric acid/lemon juice heated over a pan of boiling water. I regularly helped make a jug of this to have ready to dilute. It is as good as the store bou

It is perfect for things like that. Z-Lib was stored onto IPFS. Although of course the issue isn't actually creating the repository of information, it is fighting against those who wish to shut any repository down.
