All that "modern" tooling is simply there to solve problems people have encountered. Give yourself a chance to experience the problems first, before you go adopting everyone else's solution to those problems. Just write some

Apple can't deprecate the URI standard. It sounds like they've simply stopped using it for links between apps. The actual article title is "iOS 9.2 Update: The Fall of URI Schemes and the Rise of Universal Links," which

I guess this makes me a pedant, but it bothers me to see big O notation used as a shortcut for "within an order of magnitude." It would probably be fine if everyone on HN had taken an algorithms class and knew the formal definitio

As you say, one possibility is to exercise your options, then sell the shares on the secondary market before IPO. It's worth at least talking to a company like Sharespost about whether those shares would be salable. They can give you a

Wait, most universities don't offer summer classes? Where I went to school there were fewer students enrolled over the summer, but that just meant campus was a bit less crowded, not that it was a ghost town.

All of us smoothie lovers are out here on the sidewalk where we got kicked out the door and landed on our rear ends. Pretty soon there'll be enough of us to form a nonprofit and go save the world on our own.
