This is how we used to do it. Lunch or during a spare (unassigned class time) only. I think weekend detention would feel like detention for the teacher/monitor as well.

What kind of school has weekend detentions? What if a student has a job. Even without that, weekends are often family time, and certainly unwind time. I would never allow a school to punish my kid on a non-school day, no matter what they ma

I think the ones that don't engage enough to make money are subsidized by those who do. And then you have people like George Takai who has a blog that capitalizes on linking people to X threads, who probably makes quite a bit of money

I tried it again, and still couldn't figure out how to get rid of the About screen once it has been run. What I additionally noticed, is that right clicking on its minimized form re-maximizes and gives the browser dropdown at the sam

This is pretty interesting. Is there a shell? I didn't see one, but since it has a local file system, it should be (?) doable. An oddity I noticed: It doesn't appear you can actually exit the About screen. You can minimize it, but

Yes, they also use that sniffer wand over the keyboard. And some airports use dogs. Some rely on Xray and similar scans. Not every airport does exactly the same thing. Some do multiple things. I don't think it was even implied that all

The college vote has little to do with population. It might have started that way, but it seems to be more about artificially inflating one side of the vote these days. (To be fair, redistricting has been abused for this effect as well, alt

Especially now that it is abundantly clear that a pager's batteries are large enough to be replaced by quite an effective bomb. And cell phones are a fair amount larger than pagers. It seems the pager bombs only killed the users. But t

The reason you are asked to prove your laptop can boot at airport security is that batteries and bombs have similar densities. It would be pretty straight forward to rig a pager to run off of one battery while the other is an explosive char

This is so good. As a musician (with adhd, no longer taking meds for it, but I digress) I have a lot of songs started, and far fewer completed. I'm going to keep this in mind. When I get bogged down and can already feel the song is goi

I suspect this is about the two sections with light blue background and dark blue text. Yup, it's hard to read. And then that weird clashing green Contact button is jarring when hovered over them. The rest seems fine. Never been a fan

I thought that, too. Ascending and descending are not the same for melodic minor. I don't think modern music takes that into account anymore, but certainly classical music does. So at the least, it would be best to label which one it i

Looks cool. The natural minor is missing the flat 3rd, though. You might want to fix that both on the screen and in the PDFs. It might be helpful to put a flat sign or sharp sign in the dots to really drive it home, too. That way you don&#x

This sounds like you've misconfigured your alarm. Ours only makes a small non-loud reminder chirp until a certain time after activation and not receiving the shutoff code. The only loud part is if you don't enter the code on time.

It is doing this: sin(555555555555555555), where the 5's are an x number of 5s that increasingly converges on pi, and calculates the correct decimal placement. It's not (quite) as trivial as just copying the pi.
