The problem with the official implementation (using lots of divs) is that you lose the semantical value. They should have used the <button> element that can be styled using CSS. He does mention that he tried using <button> e

I also find it strange that there are no 304 status codes. Does that mean that they blindly download each page when they update their index? Unless you are Google or Yahoo with thousands of servers, you could save some time by only processi

I can see your point, but if Google adds that capability to Google Analytics they will have a significant advantage over their competitors. So the question is not simply about following an unofficial standard.

It might be morally questionable though for Twitter to hijack the Amazon links of the everyman who is just posting something with no intention of making a profit from it. I don't have a problem with that if the link doesn't have any affil

I think the problem is not regulation, but that regulations are almost always implemented after something has gone wrong. Regulations should be more dynamic. If it looks like someone has found a loophole, they shouldn't be afraid to plug it

I don't know about what they will do in Oregon, but this can actually be a more fair tax system. They can divide the state into tax zones. If you want to drive in a city with good public transportation, you should pay more than someone who

I don't know what the big search engines do, but storing the data in a database for the single purpose of parsing it later sounds a bit unecessary. If you are only using the database as storage, the file system will do a better job.
