You don't need approval for Symbian, Java or Windows Mobile applications. I doubt anyone would develop for Symbian if the only way to install applications was through a "Nokia store". I'm not saying that what Apple does is bad, because a co

It would be cool if we could get a plugin that implements the Gecko/Webkit engine :-)

You have to add the costs of licensing. Anyone can publish a game for PC, but you have to pay Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo to release a game for their console.

I remember reading articles in the 80s saying just that... I'm also looking forward to booking a hotel in the moon colony in a couple of years. It's not that it is impossible. We could have flying cars and moon tourists any time we want, bu

I have an old personal home page that I haven't updated in a couple of years. Yahoo crawls that page almost daily, while it has weeks since the last visit from Google.

If, in order to have an Internet radio station, you needed to negotiate with the owner of every song you wanted to play, running such a station would be prohibitively expensive. I think this can be solved using technology and micropayment

I think that would lead to dangerous situations. You would see people constantly changing lanes to try to maximize their speed. Accidents would happen more frequently.

The idea is great, but how about grouping the types of apps into sub directories? Perhaps you could separate the pure "utility" apps such as webmail, blogs, organizers and office applications from content sites like BarackObama.com and YouT

There have been scientific proof that the Earth is round for at least 2500 years. The ancient greeks even calculated the circumference of the Earth based on the position of the sun. ( http://www.mlahanas.de/Greeks/Distances.htm ). We didn't

The ironic part of that ad is that Microsoft needs to correct their own "facts" Essentially no one during the the time of Columbus (and even centuries before) believed the world was flat. That's just a myth that people like to believe.
