If sysadmins do that then you have bigger problems than just disappearing jdks. Run.

direnv is great for switching any envnvariables let given directory. I use it when I have projects with different jdks or nodejs.

I would love something similar but for frontend. I like developing backends, but writing JavaScript is to tiring.

Developers want to develop, not play around with taxes. Most sensible choice in my country is hiring an accountant to do those taxes. It is quite affordable (you pay monthly fee)

It is very hard to find a person with that purchase card. As a developer in corporate environment I won't get anywhere close to be able to influence anyone to buy a support, or a subscription for an open source or closed source product

Because Tasker is fundamental for some. Those arguments are similar to "think of children".

It is my second laptop I got from my employer (replacement every few years) and it also has just usb c ports. I hate plugging in usb-a adapter. I would at least expect adapter included for usb c.

Why? It is a bummer to keep them, buy them when suddently they stop working, etc. While chargeable needs just a usb-c socket.

Not quite. My anecdotal examples. I'm Polish. I was in Crimea for about 2 weeks (in 2012) they split me Russian there. I couldn't understand a word they said. And I didn't learn to understand than for 2 weeks of travel there.

And yet Linux and to lesser extent Windows and even lesser macos exist. They don't have that excessive control and we still can use bank/financial goverment and (if we enable DRM) also copyrighted media webpages (and sometimes app

Also this. I liked C (don't use it now, right now it is mostly Java) but C++ didn't appeal to me. Rust is for me similar to C just like you wrote, it is better, bigger but not the overwhelming way like C++ (and Rust has cargo, don

I doubt that South Slavic and West/East Slavic were mutually intelligible at 1200 AD. I doubt West and East Slavic were. But inside those geographic groups they probably were (Czech and Polish AFAIR were around that time).

How do you connect that? I assume balcony solar panels provide you with a power socket. How do you connect all the appliances in house to that socket(s)? Isn't it a lot of cabling?

Good commits are not a requirement form bisect. I commit when I think something more or less completed, or I want to start a major refactoring and I'm afraid I might need to revert it. I don't always check if commits are buildable

It is a Norway thing, I read it some time ago that they forbid chargin using AC adapters. Tesla on the other hand doesn't include AC adapter in newly sold cars (since about a year).
