Might be a good idea. I took a look at the latest 1.* and 2.* version; they look to be using the libsrtp prng for their key generation, so it should be good. The behaviour I was seeing was that the keys coming from the client I was testing

Might be a good idea. After a quick look at the first link, the key is passed in the opt structure. It's generated before the call to pjmedia_transport_srtp_create. I'll keep looking and see if I can find where it's actually generated.

From my last job working on SIP and encrypted SIP I found a flaw in the PJSIP library where they were generating keys using only ASCII characters and not the full range of the unsigned byte type. I found this in a client application phone

I feel for the author and I do miss the type of programming and programmers that he is reminiscing about. But I just have to wonder how we would feel if our new home was put together by a bunch of craftsmen (framers, electricians, plumbers

I've always wondered why language designers don't strive to optimize for the trivial cases. There is a natural way to design code for a beginner, and having that map to the most efficient constructs seems to be one of the areas of programm

The magnet archive torrent doesn't actually contain the magnet links, just the hash. To use the hash, you prepend: magnet:?xt=urn:btih: to the hash found in the archive.
