If by "encourages" you mean "has features", then yes. The typical haskell shop doesn't really encourage complex feature use, it's the people learning/online who don't actually need to work within thei

IME, the trick with perfectionism is knowing when to apply it. I.e, don't do it at the beginning but at the moment when the initial version starts falling through. Also, do it on the general area the issue lays (not "everywhere&qu

As with all garbage collected languages, optimizing comes down to removing allocations, in Haskell this means strictness and choice of data structures. You can make C-speed programs but you may need to work for it, and you'll also ne

If printing to pdf looked better and if it could do footnotes then this would go a long way before actually needing to switch to latex!

It's not hard to create content for TikTok (also, I don't think it's hard to do "debunk shorts" if they wanted to). They should just do it as this new "short video" form clearly works. edit: Were you per

"It didn't go as we wanted, someone else must be to blame!" If TikTok (or any other platform) can have this kind of real impact then other political forces should consider using it as well.

It matters in the sense that the title makes this sound much bigger than it actually is. Every parliament has a spectrum of members, some of them being relatively edgy/extreme in what they say. And most of the time what they say doesn&

Even if they were, aren't they are unlikely to gain much from this. I.e, when the average teenager can't consume social media platforms anymore, they surely won't go back to a more traditional outlet?

I have something like the parent suggests and yes, the article's idea is better because you don't need to do anything manual nor remember to run your own command at all.

Maybe overcomplicated is the better term? Constantly adding "basic" features on top of each other might create us a Jira.

Same here. (I think I've ever seen one minor bug: for any repo in the clone dropdown, the "SSH" tab was hidden for me a while ago. Unfortunately I don't remember if this was browser related.)

AFAIK, dynamic scoping is still the default because of compatibility: older extensions might rely on it. For any new extension, the author should turn it on from the get go.

Do you mean `Generically`[1]? I've only ever vaguely seen its use - perhaps it can do something a `newtype` can't (or can, but with more boilerplate)? But don't have any first-hand experience currently to comment. [1] https
