All of these use cases are encrypting files, some of them with a few extra steps as sauce. Stuff like whatsapp / signal is the exact UX that GPG has, fixed by instead ignoring everything that's hard (trust). The asymmetric cryptog

There have been many attempts, usually formed by ignoring the inherent difficulty of creating secure communications while fundamentally being the exact same UX as GPG. It's genuinely incredibly tedious to see there is a new "alter

If I actively opted into genocide it still wouldn't be okay. The answer to issues like these is not and should not be "people pick it and that makes it okay".

This is a human supremacy argument, essentially claiming that because we have a "soul" or because of something inherent in us that cannot be proven we are better than something else. You are free to believe this, but it is a matte

AI criticism is essentially people claiming that having access to something they don't like will end the world. As you say, we already have a good example of this and while it is mostly bad and getting worse it's not world-ending.

With respect, a lot of the founding priciples are not especially complicated. Of course you can keep adding detail and ability, that will make any domain hideously complex after some time. That doesn't make it fundamentally unwieldy.
