Thanks! Yes, C++ requires all objects to have a nonzero size. In GCC these two variables get the same address; also true in clang with -O.

The overvalued peso makes Argentine products economically uncompetitive abroad—and, now that we are allowed to import things freely, domestically as well. Keeping the peso overvalued is not an especially libertarian position, but rather on

Technically Perón was more like a Fascist than a Socialist, modeling his dictatorship fairly closely on that of his friend Mussolini, but especially in later years Peronism adopted Socialist political positions to an even greater extent tha

No, I've been interested in "intellectual property" restrictions since last millennium, so I've been familiar with the outlines of US trademark law for a while. You evidently are not. Aside from the reductions in scope

I hope you are correct, but probably continuing the discussion usefully would require doing a trademark search.

There's no contradiction between year-over-year growth and nine months of economic decline; year-over-year figures also average in the three months before those nine. Six months, if you are looking at YoY figures for June. However, I

You're right, in the standard it's implementation-defined. I mistakenly thought malloc(0) was undefined. That said, it's probably not the best-tested code path in the system library.

GDP is still dropping. We just had our third consecutive quarter of negative GDP growth. Edit: I can't find evidence that this is true, and I think I might have been tricked. But growth is at best quite anemic. See longer comment be

I hadn't heard about the stolen security boots. It's interesting that it was resolved by a peer-to-peer negotiated settlement for the security guards to violate official corporate policy, rather than through management.
