Both VS Code and Eclipse are open-source, so that's fine. Android Studio was also Eclipse with the serial numbers filed off, for example, before they switched to IDEA.

Or just a few cents! Possibly that will only last until war in Taiwan, though, or until it becomes impossible to find anything but counterfeits.

Yeah, this is the Wheel of Reincarnation, but wasn't it Sutherland who wrote that up? And Myer? And in 01968? https://www2.cs.arizona.edu/~cscheid/reading/myer-sutherland...

I think that text is somewhat misleading because it leads people to believe that ordered dithering is not a kind of dithering, and also because the noise in general descriptions of dithering is not equivalent to changes in the threshold m

These are absolutely amazing, thank you! I had wondered whether something like this was possible because I have this 1-bit-deep screen here, and now I'm delighted to see that it is. I'm just not sure if my machine has enough CPU

This is common functionality in graphics software, but there isn't such a thing as "the best possible dithered image using the provided palette"; there are unavoidable tradeoffs between sharpness and color precision, so diffe

Error-diffusion dithering or dithering with a precomputed blue-noise or white-noise pattern are also deterministic. One standard point of view is that what introduces noise is quantization, in the sense that the quantized image has an unwan

I think that Fil-C, unlike normal C allocators, could use a copying GC instead of a tracing GC, because it isn't exposing the machine pointers to user code. But I don't know if it does. Copying GCs often suffer from high memory

You seem to be suggesting that code that crashes in Fil-C will often run successfully in YOLO-C, but that doesn't seem to be the case from Pizlo's LFS exercise. He's had to modify a few things, but not much. Generally, UB i

What's ironic about it? That's like saying it's ironic for soldiers to fire their guns while in a trench. They're doing things unto others that they would not have done unto them.
