I absolutely agree with you. However, living in Illinois I received a $397 dollar check. I had to go look it up to make sure I got the number right. On one hand, a massive chunk of the $650 million went to the lawyers. But $397 for each use

Wow I absolutely love that. The cost of the larger ones has been prohibitively expensive for all the stuff I want to do. I did make a small weather display with one of Waveshare's 6 inch screens, then I 3D printed a stand that gives it

Like, I understand why no iPhone 13 Mini support… but please? I can’t imagine too much extra work goes into chopping the top half of the case off and just having different sizes. Almost like it’s the Wii mote + case with the attachment at t

My issue was that my 2019 iMac got updates that made the whole thing practically unusable. The storage became so slow that it would take like 10ish minutes to become usable after boot. I did have the version with a hdd instead of ssd, but i

I love and hate this response. The vast majority of people don’t know or care, and I always question if the things that bother me even matter. I just need to make windows work for video games, but it kills me that I can’t make a 1 laptop li

As an Oracle DBA, I just complain about Oracle wherever I can. Is it to subconsciously lead people away from the high paying DBA jobs and leave them for myself? The software is garbage for sure, but after a while everything is garbage and i

I have actually made a pi powered eReader with a 2.7 inch eink screen with Python. I could pretty easily swap the code over to work with the 1.3 inch screens they use here. And no, I suck at doing write ups on my projects so I don’t have on

At one point I had a post on reddit about it, but I ended up deleting that. However my post did get scraped by hackster.io so here is the link to their post. https://www.hackster.io/news/diy-e-reader-incorporates-mecha.

I’m a little disappointed that this doesn’t go into the off the shelf screens from waveshare. That’s where the fun really is for me at least. I wrote an epub reader in Python and built an eReader with a raspberry pi. I guess it’s a little l

Ha I actually had the same thoughts about building an eReader with an eink display and everything. I actually put it together and wrote it with Python for epubs and everything. Then I realized I suck at UI stuff so it’s just sitting at like

Honest question, don’t we see this constantly with Amazon AND news sites that constantly post “deals” on computers? “Buy this MacBook Air for $500 off!” But they never mention its from 2015 and will be not supported by MacOS much longer. Or

I want to disagree with how you got to this conclusion, but in the end anecdotally this is 100% me. I’m a runner with ADHD and if I don’t run for a couple days I go crazy. Exercise in generally has made me feel infinitely better as an adult
