My personal opinion of Ballmer is that he was/is brilliant but he failed to prioritise in the right areas during the mid 2000s. He did well with investing in Azure and cloud tech but he was an idiot for letting Sinofsky run Windows int

This is what I suspect for a normal, average cracker like myself. I don't do it every 5 minutes like some but maybe 5 or 6 times a day. I am 31 now and have been doing it for at least 20 years now and don't notice any issues with

I love to crack my knuckles so what I want to know is if my parents/grandparents are correct in that it will give me trouble later in life? So far everything I have look into has shown me there is no real evidence of knuckle cracking a

Anyone got any info on running a Zero with WiFi and a camera running off solar? I would love to build a ~£15-20 IP camera if possible.

Yeah I certainly see the contradiction(?) in things. That is the world we live in though. I think the biggest issue is with the tools we use to manage things. Looking at things as "a computer" with storage/network/cpu se

Am I the only one getting a bit fatigued by all of this now? I think when we hit containers I just got a bit tired of going even further down the rabbit hole. Yes I might get a little more performance or stability or whatever from a contain

Slackware was my first experience with Linux. So long ago now, I am 31 now but was 12 when I was first shown Linux and I was hooked from there. Like most I have been around the block with many different Linux distros over the years, even a

Business idea - Free WiFi on all flights as part of your ticket price! Mains power supply provided for $30/hour ;) New TSA policy: Li-ion/Li-poly/etc batteries cannot be more than 20% charged for safety.

I am from the UK. When I first went to the US in the 90s I was shocked to see adverts on TV for prescription meds. Sure I was used to an ad for some "premium" paracetamol in the UK but drugs to treat depression? nerve pain? Etc.

Couldn't agree with you more! I am amazed at the precision of modern controllers considering how complex they are. The fact I can pick up any Dual Shock or Xbox 360 controller and it feel just like every other one is pretty mind blowin

Everything can be used for bad. Does someone who makes a knife feel bad about if it is used for murder or torture? Probably yes, I know I would, but do I feel guilty? Hell no. I cannot control what a bad person will do with my good thing. E

A guy I worked with at Xerox about 10 years ago worked on a government project similar to yours back in the mid-80s to mid-90s. He never said it directly but it is clear it was for the CIA. Apparently even back in the 90s they had shockingl
