I use Firefox every day, I like Rust, and I like what Mozilla stands for. The hard thing is... I'm pretty sure a significant portion of their revenue comes from Google, which is ironic. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/

You're right. But, Google does understand that their users don't want to be tracked. They just don't care. The real solution is to "Get off Google". If everyone reading this did that, would it impact them? N

I don't think Google has its customers best interest in any of this. They try to make it seem like it at face value, but to deliver real privacy, they wouldn't get the data they need for their own business. An example from the art

This is a great idea, but where is the privacy? The privacy policy literally says that your personal information will be shared with Google & other third party apps. [0] This is a great way to collect data on what people do every day. [

No matter what, it's an opt-out setting that can only be disabled with: "workbench.settings.enableNaturalLanguageSearch": false That's unacceptable.

I like the idea.... but this doesn't make sense. I'm all for not using Google Analytics- I don't use it on my site. But why would you then use Google Sheets to hold the info? That's ridiculous. That's like telling p

thanks for the quick replies! And just to clarify... if the program lasts 5 months, and they drop out of the program 2.5 months in (and they would have received $5k so far), what would they would owe..?

Three questions I haven't seen answered yet... 1) What if you make $40k even? Is the 15% adjusted based on your salary? 2) What happens if you lose your job 1 year in? You've paid back half your debt... what about the other half?

Thanks for the article! Unfortunately I don’t think Medium is an “open” platform, there are paywalls there too. The other thing I think we need to be careful about is having a “federated” source for the paywalls. To me, this is a scary idea
