After watching the demo and reminiscing of my beginnings in programming experimentation, I feel like this paradigm will become the de-facto way to produce an app in the future. At least basic CRUD apps which are still tons of standard boile

I'm asking the same question. We use GitLab at work, and the amount of bloat being added to this piece of software is becoming ridiculous. While I'm sure 'Auto-Devops' and other tools have their place at larger organizat

Those two examples are fine applications of ML. The problem is when you're dealing with sequential, timestamped content that SHOULD be displayed in the order it was posted. I think companies should very judiciously apply ML in these ca

I think this is the likely reason. For instance, 5 years ago when I'd never tracked a calorie in my life, I had no idea how bad most of the things I was eating were for me, or even how good some of the other things were. Quantifying th

This is likely the reason. I forget the article/post, but I recall reading about this on HN a while back. Basically the licensing for fonts across all platforms can become very costly, so developing a typeface in house becomes an appea

A couple non-starters here for me is the immediate asking for location data and login method. Perhaps you should delay the location request until the user chooses a 'Current Location' option? Otherwise you're asking where I a

Wow. As an iPhone user I actually wasn't aware of how easy LastPass is on Android. I, too, hate all of the steps (leave browser to open the app, search for your site, copy password, go back to the browser, paste password). Hopefully I&

I’ve always been curious as to what “psychological training” would consist of to prepare for seeing such explicit content day in and day out. Perhaps something similar to military/war psychological practices?

Seriously. Not all of your services have to be Node services either. If there is other computationally intensive work that needs to be done, it can always be handed off to a more performant process.

I would think the best use of Apple's time is reverse engineering (if the exploit is not already assumed/known) the device and releasing an update rendering it useless. If that isn't possible, perhaps litigation would be the
