One of those things I've just been subconsciously dealing with for years without ever deciding to actually learn the rules. "Damn it collapsed. Okay padding then"

I would love to use short UUIDs, but every part of my stack can get a long one with a single, trusted import. I agree. If there was a shorter standard, I would use that for most cases.

I agree. Its all custom, the developer is going to have to make decisions at every scale about what should be displaying. Its not a skin you can easily apply to all types of data.

The improvements are not quite enough to make me jealous, the only thing that would tempt me is a serious CPU/GPU upgrade. 1600p is sort of useless when you can't even run ps4-era games at that resolution.

This is just elitism. Its guaranteed to be faster to copy and paste your snippet into an app, and have the app automatically detect the transformation you want to apply.

The exception groups wrap multiple tasks. Each task can throw one exception. The group is capable of catching all of them. Before with asyncio, it would exit on first exception. You're example is: "catch the first exception of eit

AFAIK quantum computers currently can only handle a dozen qubits or less. So we can't really extrapolate about timeframes yet, there's not enough data points to draw a curve. It could happen this year, it could never happen.

I just don't want to learn another framework unless I know its going to matter. "Learning a framework" doesn't mean creating a todo app over a week or two. It takes years to really know one. I don't have that time o

Found solutions also tend to be super clever. Because they're packaged in a generalized library or white-paper, where the author doesn't have to worry about implementation details. Clever works great outside of your actual busines
