Agreed that big data aggregation can do quite a bit and aid some features. I work with it myself except in operational rather than personal data. Some benefits accrue to consumers, but most go to the holders of the data. Most if not all of

Good for whom? It has surely been good for those who are collecting and distilling the data, but we can say the same for those being watched, manipulated, and worse.

Yes it stays atop the skin and reflects rather than absorbing into your skin and bloodstream. It is best for the beach in your non-fancy bikini. Removing it from the skin is done by wiping with a towel rather than soap and water.

The simplest recipe is what I mentioned, but some people use carrot seed oil or other more exotic oils that have natural SPF. I find mixing coconut and olive oil give it the ideal consistency with natural SPF all easily obtainable from any

Hack your own sunscreen: zinc powder, coconut oil, olive oil. I bought a lifetime supply of zinc for $10. It is edible and free of toxic endocrine disrupters. Goal is not to block everything since you need vitamin D.

Watching everybody's movements is tyranny. When you compare how much power those classical tyrants had to what the state has now, you may not need to compare the relatively impotent states of the past.

After learning about this, all kiddie pornographers will learn to put their photos through postprocessing to mask any signatures. Activists photographing corporate or government crimes may not take the same precautions.

Here are mitigations: Run a VPN on your phone at all times. Use an alternate OS based on AOSP such as Graphene, Calyx, E, Lineage or Linux for the brave. These have no carrier bloatware/spyware. Transfer your phone number to VOIP. Then

I agree that political action is needed, but I have almost no hope that any substantive legal changes will pass in near future. Big money and power prevent proposals from getting anywhere. It is up to us to protect ourselves and loved ones.
