A lot of big companies have R&D offices in Russia, e.g. Intel or Deutsche Bank. I don't think there are many startups here yet

Thank you for the suggestions! We'll add shortcuts and tooltips. We were rather conservative about it because wanted to collect some feedback. The IDE will have real-time console for logging.

The Akshell engine will be open sourced soon, it will eliminate the problem of vendor lock-in. We strongly believe that web-based development environment are the future; so we'll improve our IDE and add more advanced features to it to provi

Yes, we think about it. CoffeeScript support should be easy to implement and seamless to use.

We will share it on our blog and mailing list. It's quite simple, only 200 lines of code.

Thank you! We'll do something about it. May be we'll have a more universal console, where git will be only one of the commands.

Sorry, guys. We have SSH key pairs pregenerated for speed reasons and we've just run out of them today. Now everything should be OK.

Akshell targets more "heavy" applications than AppJet. E.g., it has a relational database and AppJet had key-value store. I contacted JGate guys. JGate is an AppJet successor http://apps.jgate.de/ .

Your comment does makes sense. I should change the front page. Applications has two places to store persistent data: database and file storage. The latter is rather common. The database is implemented on top of a custom query language desig

Yes, I have looked. I implemented a simpler Proxy: http://www.akshell.com/docs/0.2/ref/core/misc/#Proxy It's more restrictive, but much more easy to use.

Well, the edition system isn't mine; it's EditArea, a free client-side JS library by Christophe Dolivet. But opensourcing a part of Akshell may be a good idea. I should think about it. Thank you.

A specific for application login system can be implemented as a library in a few lines of code. But using it will prevent an application from benefiting from the Akshell environment.

Thank you for your comprehensive reply. I definitely agree that now Akshell doesn't suite mission-critical applications. And I think it will never suite bank applications or such. But I think that it has a rather big niche. I'll contact y
