I've worked with CVS, Subversion, Bazaar, Visual SourceSave, Team Foundation Version Control, Mercurial and Git. The worst systems are the Microsoft ones, but the one with the most complex interface is definitely Git. I would argue it

For me it's not about when life begins, but more about how to prevent most of the suffering.

For me it's pretty simple: what causes the least suffering. Don't act that an unwanted child will have a great life. Most sane countries have sane rules related to abortions. But I guess some people still hang on to an imaginary s

For me, I have an electric standing desk from IKEA, and a FlowFitness walking pad. Very pleased with that, since I can fold it and roll it out of the way with the wheels, once I want to sit down. https://www.flowfitness.com/

I'm doing the same thing, but only walk in the afternoon about 1 hour. It makes a difference indeed. Reading, typing and using the mouse is not as difficult as you would think. For hard problems I also need to sit down (that's why

You are free to develop everything in vanilla JavaScript and run your coded scripts straight in the browser. Very non-complex. But the team that uses npm, babel, webpack etc will crush you both on development speed and stability.

I think you can allocate 1 to 5% of your investment money into more risky bets. I did with crypto and was lucky enough to do very well. If I lost my 1%, that was part of the game. The benefit/risk at the time was worth it. But even the

Ah come on, you can run a node for $20 a month, that's way cheaper for an entreprise than sharing revenue with a payment processor. Running a node is dirt cheap, because a transaction is dirt cheap at 0.000112 kWh per transaction. htt

Lots of Open Source projects rely on volunteering one way or another. I think projects where everything is publicly available, have the least risk to disappear. If you want it, you can just run it. There is of course always a cost for a tra

I get it that you are sceptical. But you probably haven't looked at how Nano works. It's 100% distributed and is battle tested in practice. The biggest challenge they had was protecting against spam. But a few releases back they s
