I’m surprised this doesn’t have a built in receipt printer. Many legislations require a receipt of sale to be provided (at least if requested).

I’m still surprised that NFS doesn’t have a TLS option. Or a way to grant access without relying on IP whitelists.

Good luck with that. That’s really quite hard to do, ask your surgeon how hard it is to find the original cut when they’re looking for it to do a touch-up.

It's not fear. It's experience. Having to keep an extra OS and software patched and up-to-date (often times different to the rest of your SoE because it's different software) and keep it safe from real-world threats takes a l

Yeah, but the reason why 1.1.1.1 is so fast for sites that use Cloudflare as DNS is because Cloudflare is the authoritative DNS for them. The only way you get that in a more generic sense is if a specialist DNS CDN provider started up that

The core feature of Cloudflare's DNS is getting you closer and faster resolves to their CDN (probably one of the largest at this point, barring the established enterprise encumbants) in a privacy-first way. Quad9's goal seems to b

It scales fine… if you don’t already know the answer to that question, none of the web servers you choose are the bottle-neck to your site. ;-)

I was talking about the underlying merchant fees. In the US, it’s not unusual to pay 3% on cars transactions and I can’t help think that a large part of that is to deal with fraud. After all, Australian banks are some of the most profitable

In Australia, all in-person card transactions above the $100 PayWave/PayPass limit require PINs. Fraud cause from in-person transactions is very low and hence our merchant fees are also very low. 10-20¢ for debit transactions and appro

At $0.40 per secret per month and $0.05 per 10,000 requests this is much more expensive than the practically free SSM Parameter Store product, even if you factor in the auto-rotating bits.
