T14 Gen 5 AMD is perhaps the current best you can go for with non-soldered RAM.

Give it another year and we will have a more specialised architecture tailored to 3D that will reach similar accuracy. VGGT is a ground-breaking research but it is in a way brute-force. There is plenty of work to do to make it more efficien

This is previous work. Bolt3D uses the same principle, of predicting a per-pixel Gaussian splatting representation but it also trains a diffusion model, which is only feasible if you have substantial compute available. Given that it's

I feel sad for Windows users here on Linux. KDE Desktop has KolourPaint (basic image editor) and KWrite/Kate text editors, all miles ahead of their Windows counterparts and completely free. It's criminal that Open Source software

If NATO is threatening Russia, why didn't Russia invade a NATO country? Russia is a classic bully that chooses to attack the weak, this is the only explanation.

Funny that you don't call for elections in Russia because we didn't have any for 20 years.

Their 16" laptop is extremely bulky. I think this is a category where Macbooks clearly win. Thinkpad and FrameWork have great options for 14", but at larger screen sizes something is always missing for me.

I have T14s Gen 3 AMD running Linux and I don't even come close to 12 hours, maybe half of that. That's my biggest complaint.

An X86 server comparable in performance to M3 Ultra will likely be a few times more energy hungry, no?

This is a petty excuse. We just witnessed how USA tried to force Zelensky (who is in a much worse position than Israel) to sign a deal, and he refused. Israel voting this way falls in line with who they are.

Most Israelis are fully aligned on what Bibi has been doing. Sure, they like to say that they hate him to maintain decency, but when it comes to his actual policies on Palestinians, 90% of Israelis are fully on board.

US sent Ukraine 31 Abrams tanks so far. This is for the largest land war in Europe since WW2. Now, can we compare this to the amount of military assistance by the US to USSR during WW2? The US could have helped Ukraine win the war, but chos

I used to use Skype to call my grandfather's landline back home, until he passed away two years ago. I just opened Skype to scroll through our call history all the way to 2018. It will be gone soon just like he did.

Same goes for Breeze, default theme for KDE Plasma. I've tried a few themes and customisations for UI elements but always came back to the default because of some corner cases.
