No source, no thank you. There are plenty of proprietary alternatives already! P.S. Outside of the above, pretty decent early version.

Fish is a deviant. There are thousands of *nix projects out there, many with a much more desperate need for a web UI, but they simply don't do it, because they know that they shouldn't cross that line.

You guys keep beating around the bush and keep downvoting me! Is the web server built-in? Yes, it is. Why do you keep finding excuses and why do you keep downvoting the voice of reasons - a shell should not have a web server in its codebase

It's obvious that I was interested in this, but couldn't do anything with it outside of getting frustrated.

I was being sarcastic, but I don't really like the idea of my shell having a built-in web server even if it's just a few lines of code - feels like a Rube Goldberg machine. You can do nice TUIs in the console as well, even with gr

It just makes Fish feel desktopy, a toy shell, and not something serious. Ask the vim crowd that even in 2015 uses vim in the terminal, even on desktops. You just don't do the things Fish does, it's that simple. Make the web ser

This site is about discovering and rating content and how I can rate and promote something I cannot read?!

Agreed! Downvoting ruins everything. Not sure what HN gains from it other than leaving a bitter taste in the mouth after somebody dares to post unpopular opinions!

Why you can't choose a username when signing up via Facebook/Google+ and why when you change your username, your profile URL does not update accordingly?!

Don't repeat my mistake to reply to a massively-downvoted comment as people will downvote the reply as well to double-punish you.

I got interviewed once by Amazon. Basically, they wanted me to do consulting with all the negative sides of it minus the major positive one - the pay. I had a friend who quit Amazon and he told me that backstabbing was actually encouraged t

... Did the emoji reactions take Slack down? The whole site is down for me! P.S. It seems that their whole website is served by Tumblr and the error is with Tumblr, actually.

Sorry, I didn't see this earlier although I frequent the new links. I suggest posting stuff like this between 9AM and noon PST as popularity highly depends on the timing as well.

What is the price of the ring.to service? They did every effort to advertise pricing or if it's a free service (which I doubt).
