That is why I said that I still know how to use basic Unix tools. If I am debugging something so frequently that I feel that I need to install my Nix configuration just to get productive there is something clearly going wrong. For example,

One of the reasons I really like Nix, my setup works basically everywhere (as long the host OS is either Linux or macOS, but those are the only 2 environments that I care). I don't even need root access to install Nix since there are m

Actually, now that I think about this could be that my system is set to autologin (I am using Jovian-NixOS to get a almost SteamOS experience), so maybe this is not KDE being smart and could just be that it crashed and the system automatica

I am not sure if this is relevant because most of the things listed there are not problems anymore. X11 is mostly replaced with Wayland, VSync generally just works, we have lightweight Compositors now. Heck, the other day I was messing with

No, gaming revenue for NVIDIA was historically the major revenue percentage from the company (up until 2023). Only with the recent AI boom this changed. Source (I am not sure how reliable this is because I got this from ChatGPT, but I remem

But in this case it is not like you're in the bleeding edge (you aren't anyway since Pop OS is based on Ubuntu LTS that is already a more conservative distribution even when a new version is released), you're in a stable dist

Thanks, this is very interesting. So the old native runtime was basically a messy hacky using LD_LIBRARY_PATH and Ubuntu 12.04 libraries, and now they're using containers based on Debian 10 (Steam Runtime 2 'soldier') or Debi
