This is more likely an abuse mitigation than intentional surveillance. I helped out in the dorms and student machines were constantly infected with malware, some of which sent tons of spam. I'd be very surprised if correctly configured

I don't think there's a single "correct" answer here, since varying implementations do different things. I've been using fail with all domains I administer for over 10 years without issue. What really matters is p

We don't have older machines to test on, and we built it for ourselves first. I use Windows, but a web client is probably next.

Honestly, it looks more like Mail.app. It really will if we offer a single window mode. My co-founder, James, most recently worked at Apple. Pretending he wasn't influenced at all by (the good parts) of Radar would be disingenuous.

Consensus seems to be that we need to build out the web client next. We always planned to make a web version, but don't expect we'll be able to do too much better than existing solutions.

We don't personally like agile. We would like to add the ability to order problems - both a personal work order queue, like "I'm doing this, then that, etc." and globally within a milestone, which I think is what you had

Thanks for letting us know! That's a bummer. Sadly, I don't have any guesses as to why. I'm happy to help debug if you want: nick@realartists.com, but understand if you don't want to spend any more time on it.

It's possible you've not experienced the problems that we have with web based issue trackers. That's ok. Ship may not be the right tool for you. As for all-at-once upgrades, so far it's not been an issue. The client igno

I very much agree. We have a workflow we really like that we'll be blogging about, and Ship is optimized to support it. It's nothing novel, but it works well for us and we think will work well for other teams, even large ones.

Pricing will be comparable with similar tools - probably on a per-seat basis, but we'll do something special for early adopters. It will always be possible to export all your data. We have that now, it's just not exposed yet. Here

I personally want everything to live in one place. We throw everything in Ship and then use appropriate queries when we're project planning. If bugs are in one place, and features are in another, it's hard to get a complete overvi

Hey everyone! James and I made Ship because we were frustrated with other tools we've had to use. It's focused on developer productivity and meant to be used frequently without wasting your time. But seriously, we'd love feed

Your idea isn't yet working. It's not guaranteed anyone will want what you build. Figure out realistically which will get you to MVP faster, and use that. Chances are there may even be enough work to keep you both busy without ove

You only need to boot into recovery mode once to change the setting, not every time. Turning it off isn't a big deal, and you have a valid reason to do so. Most users never need any of the functionality restricted by SIP, and will bene

I'm pretty sure that using this method will actually break the WinSxS component cache - it won't preserve hard links. It may appear to work, but you'll possibly have issues applying updates and service packs later on. For Vis

There are too many bad clients that have $30k ideas and only $5k available. They'll never be satisfied, are super cost conscious, will want a micro-accounting of all time spent, and simply aren't worth it. While there are a few go

I have a 32" 3840x2160 60Hz Asus PQ321Q which I run at native resolution with no scaling. It's fabulous. More pixels than the dual 2560x1600 30" monitors I had before, and it fits entirely in my field of view. I barely need t

If ImageMagick meets your needs, use it. However, after doing so, you may find that it's terrible code, slow, leaky, and a giant pain to use in production at any real scale.
