Pardon my ignorance, but what if my JS was "for (;;) {}"? Can this handle heavy-CPU plugins? Maybe in a service/web worker? Part of the Realm API being a good use case for plugins I assume would include this kind of isolation

> At best you'll get a Rust'ish WASM, Python'ish WASM, PHP'ish WASM, etc I agree with the latter two due to runtime uniqueness, but not so sure it holds for Rust. Since C FFI has become the defacto WASM standard (with

I wonder how these libraries compare to using something like image-rs [0] w/ a custom-exported C FFI extern? I have used that library's PNG decoder/encoder in WASM and it seems simple and small and fast. I think it'd be

For some of the DOS things, I'm not sure fuzzers would be that effective. For the flooding issues, it's about quantity and frequency instead of how the packet is crafted.

At least for the PING flood I think you can just send HTTP/2 PINGs over and over (that's what the Go test case does) and confirm it uses more and more resources as it queues the control messages.

We should separate what something does from its intended effect when having these discussions. Laws exist on the books, laws can be added, etc but that is unrelated to enforcement and credibility and continued sector/business growth.

I admittedly haven't researched too deeply, but are there any examples/docs on embedding Deno in another Rust program and/or writing/exposing Rust libs with a TS API?

Agreed. I was able to implement image.Image for a set of pixels from a Cgo library (written in Rust) and it works cleanly w/ the other Go image tools such as PNG saving[0]. 0 - https://godoc.org/github.com/cretz&#x

Desktop-wise, I've often thought [evergreen] client-side tools would emerge for content extraction via local [headless] browser automation. It's something I've contemplated building myself.

I'm saying it doesn't match what "existing" is doing which doesn't wrap the error. If you want comparable examples, they need to be doing the same thing, not one wrapping w/ an Errorf and another not.
