The PC Master Race thing grew out of a Zero Punctuation video. It’s more about comparing PC games to consoles. Those I’ve spoken to in the industry have all praised Blender but say they use various commercial tools because it part of their

I guess I should elaborate. Blender is extremely capable in a wide range of areas. It’s much more than simply fuel in your analogy, it’s much more like the car builder’s toolbox or even his workshop. Blender can do complex 3D modelling, phy

It started raining today, thankfully. The problem is our inadequate water system and an awful attitude about our water supply in a simplistic sense because it rains so much here. We suffer huge leaks in many parts of the water network and n

I guess that’s it. I bought my first Mac in 2010, a 13” MBP for £800 and sold it in 2014 for €600 which made it a fantastic value machine.

It’s shocking how expensive Macs have gotten. I paid around €2300 for my 2014 15” and today’s equivalent tier is over €3k. For this I get a faster thinner machine without MagSafe and a variety of ports. It seems that the only viable upgrade

I’m not a Musk fan. He’s held up as some sort of modern day Tesla but he’s just an eccentric rich guy who employs a lot of hard working engineers.

Sorry to keep banging the drum, this is an article about Ireland, not Britain. This constant confusion is really annoying for Irish people.

Nothing in the article is about Northern Ireland.

The article starts with: > U.K. archeologists are crediting... And spends the rest of the article citing a researcher from University College Dublin. Ireland is not part of the U.K.

Herein lies a lot of the difficulty in doing experimental fluid mechanics. My own PhD ended up conprising a few minutes worth of data after years testing and retesting. That said, I wonder if such an experiment would be better with PIV or e
