Is there a reason that they’re using such low polygon count models? They look like poorly exported STLs from some CAD package.

I was there during the riots, the extra police from up the country had their breakfast at our canteen in Imperial. It was surreal. Closest thing I’ve seen was when US troops used Shannon airport en masses during the Iraq war. When I got off

I’ve seen it used to treat cured PDMS elastomer and glass slides for bonding microfluidic devices (aligns OH groups to the surface to achieve a covalent bond between the PDMS and glass). Our plasma chamber was destroyed by a student so I us

You can make plasma with a partially evacuated sealed bottle, it’s basially how plasma chambers work and it’s a handy way to get plasma if you’re stuck. You can use different gases in the bottle for different plasmas.

Several years ago while living in London we had a visit from the police because they were able to access my partner’s Oyster travel card registration details — she had provided her home address and I hadn’t. They were following up on an app

In fairness the new rubber gaskets they added to the keys of 2018 model to prevent dust ingress significantly reduces the keyboard noise compared to previous models.

I wonder if there are thermal issues that may affect the life of the sensor? But it’s mostly a business decision I guess.

I see it being somewhat like McDonalds. You don’t trust them to care about your health but you like eating there because you don’t value your health all that either. At least not enough to think it’s doing any harm. A lot of people shrug at

What I find interesting is that a lot of today’s games have become photography simulators. Many include either a photo mode where you can edit the paused game state or a live in game camera (in GTA V your character has a smartphone with var

This reminds me of the management at my old company. They wasted a fortune trying to develop wearables by tasking people with little or no product development background with the bulk of the work and then spending another fortune on consult

If you think newspaper subs are bad try looking at some specialist software. Maintenance costs for software like Ansys and Matlab are insane and can run into the tens of thousands a year. The situation with Ansys has gotten so bad many rese
