Would the right answer be niche reporting? Basically sites like Talking Points Memo or Techcrunch where a small but focused group produces quality reporting on a specific niche?

humans are twice as upset about losses as they are happy about wins Any research to back that up? I always thought that was a subjective thing, in that it varies for everyone.

The maverick is starting to sound like a disconnected old coot. Cutting off access to aggregators - Mark feels that this somehow makes the content more valuable and convince readers to come directly to the site. Bullshit. If a site blocks a

I won't. But since they provided the interview, it'd be nice if they provided a transcript as well. A transcript which takes 2 min to read instead of watching an hour long video. Efficiency. Look it up. Or have Mechanical Turk look it up fo

It's surprising watching the up/down votes for jcapote's comment. I assumed it'd be downvoted to -8 within minutes, but it's been swinging back and forth b/w -1 and +2 for the past 15 minutes. So there are others who also wish to see scribd

Fear of corporate espionage perhaps? Netflix seems to have perfected the system, maybe they don't want competitors snooping around. That and ppl asking to drop off/pick up discs at the warehouse.

The entire economy, and especially the advertising industry desperately needs Lamson AMES now, before another major economic collapse destroys the world. Stopped reading after this line.

And a win doesn't matter if you don't collect. Yeah, I get how the semantic circle of logic works. The point is that to get to the money, you have to start with filing a suit. If he filed a suit in the UK, why not throw one up here as well?

It doesn't. There, I told you. In all probability, it's a case of the google voice debacle being the final straw rather than it being the deciding factor.

Some of these tactics (#8, #9 for e.g.) just show a blatant disregard for communal property, almost to the point of screaming !!SPAM!! Imagine if every single business owner started slapping their business stickers all over town.
