I think hundreds is a very low estimate. It seems not that it spread from China to Italy and France late last year and that seems unlikely but not impossible if only hundreds Chinese people had the virus.

I do overall agree with you, but Norway has lower than usual number of deaths this year, so not sure what to do with that. I guess if you just compare the deaths to average you are still under reporting because of the stay at home orders it

Never thought of this, but you are right. Usually it’s used when you didn’t know you were dodging the bullet at the time but more of a hindsight thing.

Just realize you can both be right. Everything you say is true, but parent is also. Confidence and the projection of ability to get the job done is important. Also when you are 40+ chances are you are going to be hired as a senior developer

It isn't just luck, far from it, but it is also luck. All the skill and determination in the world might not do you any good without some luck to come with it. Of curse getting that skill and determination in the first place is largely

For me what makes the iPad such a hit is that it can’t be copied apparently. There are phones that are in some ways more successful than iPhone but for tablets there is more or less just the iPad.

This is my problem with Keynesian economics. It is obviously correct, but it cannot be done in practise. Two issues: - How do we identify good times? EU would for sure said we have not had them since the last crisis. - How do we get humans

I kind of agree with what you said, but not at this time. We need focus on value, but after the corona situation has passed. Right now we need to focus on not letting the whole system collapse. We don't need to merge two different ways
