It is often (always in the cases I was involved with) with government involvement so there is no risk of being investigated afterwards. This is just the way it works so everyone can say they don't pay bribes and still save lives.

It is because the numbers involved (and a little bit the blatant corrupt attitude by the former CEO). Uber by design was created to break laws and hustle (and had a lot of issues with sexual issues for example as well). Seems like the curre

There are fairly easy ways to get around this. Everyone says they never pay ransoms, but they mostly do. It is not a ransom, but you hire some cousin to do a not existing project etc. These things happens in parts of the world where transpa

They really do not say it at all, never mind literally. The twitter poster is using quotes "", but what they quote is never said. And the speaker specifically is arguing against calling Trump anything, and says we should speak bac

They also can’t pay staff in the us or have bank accounts. Once us banks ban someone the rest of the world (except a few like China and Russia) usually follow for fear of the ban coming to them next.

Palmer is a first class jerk and other things I would maybe get banned for saying, but this is as good and honest an apology as I think he can give. Things change, and it has been many years since he said this.

I think the key value of (our version of) democracy is the peaceful transition of power. For example from Clinton -> Bush -> Obama -> Trump. They all had very different views on what the country needed to do, but they all accepted

This is a red herring, here is the definition of democracy: "a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives." The US clearly fits in here. The US is

It’s clearly bad (and I’m a left wing liberal), I think we need to give states more rights even if it sometimes will hurt causes we like. I also think we need to do another thing that is similar but not the same which is to drive down the s

I actually don't disagree with this, I just said it is not some "coincidence". Apple was first, Google decided to follow. Good for consumers? Probably not.

Of course you can when you break the terms of services. Try adding some porn to your game and see it gone from both stores in a day as well. Or some other way to obvious break their terms.
