I mean does it really matter what the church says? The important part is what God actually thinks here and that seems to be very different depending on who you ask.

No, although both NYC and CA has higher sales tax than switzerland but about half of Norway. To be honest my life does not change at all based on sales tax. Perhaps for cars but other than that it is sort of a rounding error. So little of m

What you say is statistically true. Having lived in both Western Europe and two US states I would say there is something missing in that you need more money in the US to have a similar lifestyle on an emotional level. It’s really hard to ex

Yeah this is the point, life in for example Germany has a very acceptable life quality for less money.

This was meant more descriptive than add a political view. In my opinion I would change the taxation rates for the .1% first, Will at the same time importing life quality for the bottom let’s say 60%. A lot of this is not in taxes but due t

I mean I lived in both ca and ny and the tax rate is pretty close to European ones. When I lived in Switzerland just the federal rate was higher than my Swiss tax rate. The big difference in total compensation after tax between Western Euro

Seriously?? You call that torture? The spoiled lives we lead here in the west truly makes us not realize hard realities. I can promise you that torture is way more unpleasant than sitting in the airline seat with your nice noise cancelling

Not long range, unless you allow for gimmicks like changing batteries that will not be available for the general population.

How do you know if you are arrested by an unmarked cop or kidnapped by for example a right wing militia member? If something illegal happened, how would you go to court for justice with unmarked law enforcement?

Two things afterwards having worked in intelligence: - your examples are really child’s play, I have seen much more sneaky stuff. For example if you think NSA is interested in you, how would you acquire a new computer? - The flip side is th

So I think this is partially why these questions actually have value. They cannot completely be faked, you need some level of competence even after months of leetcode.

Can I ask why you refuse? For me it is more of a formality at this point. I know it won't tell a lot about me, except I cared enough to put in the hours to get this job, but still you have to do what you have to do. I'm pretty sen

The key is who saves/invests the most and they will have access. This is how it works with everything in capitalism and this is the only efficient way we know of distributing resources.

Yeah but we have money that can be stored and anyone that is old and have reserves of money will be treated and get food etc. Society doesn’t reward you based on the value you produce but based on how much fictional currency you have. This

I read a science fiction book based around this once. It makes a lot of sense at first, the issue is that we are not a random sample. People could have used this argument at any time in human history.

That point is unreasonably far in the future and there are probably much bigger issues right now. If humanity was facing extinction because people don’t want to give birth this is very solvable.

That is not true in the US. What happens in the senate has low overlap with what the public wants compared with what donors/lobbyists want.

YouTube does simply not send people to concentration camps and torture them for uploading "wrong" videos. They get demonetized. If you don't see the difference I am not sure how to convince you.

I don't think liberty is the natural order, but something we have to fight to keep, each generation has to carry that fight. Once it is gone it will be a lot harder to regain. Another thing is that liberty is very difficult to define,
