There's a general fascination with VTOLs in the tech scene for a while, especially as the Next Big Thing for on-demand ride hailing, but I also wouldn't be surprised if part of it is a legal distinction to avoid some of the rules

The phone masking looks great, too. Like Privacy.com, it's awesome with virtual alternatives for PII, except they don't tend to be available here in Europe, but I'm definitely jealous.

One of the ironies of these things is that they tend to map to a specific e-mail address, whereas the more paranoid of us who'd want to pay for a service like that tend to have different addresses, either entirely or something like Gma

Capcom have a history of doing dumb stuff with DRM. They also changed the DRM system with the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World, which created all sorts of issues, partly due to lazy CRC implementation. It lead to a whole cat and

I can't think of a worse thing than having YouTube ads beamed into my eyes, but you'd imagine the ROI on that would be pretty decent as a company that's mainly built around selling ads.

Are there any wi-fi dongles - or even PCI extensions - for PCs that are worth getting? Everywhere I look, it's usually down to hoping the one that comes with your motherboard is any good, and those aren't easy to upgrade every now

Highly recommend the Consent-O-Matic extension to automatically handle cookie prompts, too: https://github.com/cavi-au/Consent-O-Matic . One of my favourite extensions.

The "DMCA abuse" rule feels a lot like perjury where it's technically illegal but a legal and prosecutorial mess that means it never rarely punished and makes headlines when it finally does.

I recently found ytdl-sub which is basically a metadata wrapper around yt-dlp to help you save videos in a format library software like Plex etc supports. Rather than having some horribly named videos with metadata files just taking up spac

I love a lot of things in their Edge browser, but man if the first ten minutes with it aren't spent disabling and removing stuff. Seems crazy to have browsers throw MSN news feeds at you in 2023 but here we are.
