I've been waiting a million years for another branded sale on YubiKeys like the last time GitHub did one. Those things are so expensive. Seems like a cool thing to sponsor, too - as long as it's tied to accounts to prevent underha

Quite the irony for people who disagree with you to vote your post down. Apparently that's the approved kind of censorship here.

Was looking at potentiometers (knobs) the other day, and it's crazy that you basically have to make your own in Arduino if you want one that isn't from Palette. Microsoft infamously made the Dial that has the unfortunate design fl

PayPal ran into some bad PR a while ago with people making "fake" donations to the tune of thousands of dollars and ended up refusing the chargebacks. But as far as structural change, things are still pretty bad. Streamlabs's

It'd be great to see Stripe adopted by donation platforms for livestreaming like Streamlabs and StreamElements, chargebacks remain an awful abuse vector there.

Feels a little like pulling up the ladder for the Instagram accounts who've already established a presence on the platform. But maybe it'll work the other way around and give smaller accounts better, sigh, engagement?

I really hate how the experiment of redeemable codes for physical copies died out - and wasn't even an option in most countries. Now we have to choose between availability or convenience (online video) versus annoying physical discs wi

The spatial audio demo only works relative to distance, not position. If you stand next to a speaker and spin around, the audio remains the same. It also confused me, they should probably have done something in 2D instead.

I set up e-mail forwarding for a custom address after reading stories like this. While it won't back up my e-mails (unless I get a plan that supports that), I'll still be able to redirect 2FA and contact e-mails elsewhere.

It’s weird, because Google clearly have great designers and do some great work, but YouTube (as an uploader) is just the worst. It’s great that YouTube for PS4 sorta works now, though. I do wonder why there’s this crazy variance in quality.
