Incredibly mind numbingly annoying if you are even in a scenario where you want to use and charge at the same time. Sure it’s rare, but it’s so stupid

I love this tool. A little information overload if you aren't very familiar with how postgres queries work but it's also a good tool to learn that.

Would love to see how you’re defining optimal. That usually depends on having one metric

But a domain and use that for your internal network. You can use let’s encrypt and even get wildcard certs

I think he’s saying that the distribution of human heights has definite scale, not the Gaussian?

Haven’t seen this done much but it does seem to have some desirable properties. My biggest concern when using it as a system component has been durability guarantees. I don’t have a lot of trust on broker implementations not to lose data.

I found svelte more complicated than react to make work in practice

This is a problem much easier solved when you allow yourself to diverge your representations of object creation, fetching, and patching.

I think the term soundstage is reserved for qualitative aspects beyond freq response, but I’m not enough of an audiophile to know

A sensor of nothing is an interesting way of looking at it, I like that characterization. Ideally you shouldn’t be able to infer a single thing about the environment from the signal

Having 'negative' results like this published is so good though because then it's harder to scam people with this idea in the future.

Yeah I get that SQLite technically has weak schema constraints, but it's rarely a problem in practice. I'm far more concerned about messing up with the filesystem and losing data.

XML is human readable, but barely. I do not trust any executable other than SQLite, postgres and a few others to correctly manage state on disk without corrupting it.

Aeroponics is exactly what got me interested in the technology as well. I haven’t actually looked at the link so no idea about what they are potentially misrepresenting, but I did find it quite difficult to find good info on the metal mesh
