It seems to me all of that applies (in different ways, I would concede) to social media as well.

Ok, but if it wasn't for private interests pushing those laws, I really doubt a government would pass them. So saying that it's the government fault is true, but not the whole picture. You should feel disdain for both the governme

I think it's safe to assume "no public static interface to the framework". The rest are hidden implementation details. It's like saying that a program in Java can be completely object oriented. Of course it can't be

Because somehow the search function on SE mostly sucks. I tried a couple of times (especially when flagging duplicates) and it's really hard. I usually just revert to Google or ddg.

In my experience, people don't even think that's an option. It's like you either know how to do things or you ask an actual person. To be fair, in some cases it's just laziness.

Depends on what you mean by "latest". R6RS is arguably huge. That's why they decided to split R7RS in two, a small core which is done and a huge version which, ironically, is still in the making.

No, for free software to be "Free Software" it must respect the Four Freedoms ( https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.en.html ). GPL-or-other-copyleft-license happens to respect them, but so do the Apache, BSD
