That’s hilarious. She was COO of a company with 80K employees. She’s worth $1.6B. You think anyone is going to pay her an amount she’d care about to be a senior PM? You think she cares about benefits? Fidji Simo (who was 1-2 levels under Sh

For any size company it’s a waste of time asking equity questions to most interviewers, just like it’s a waste of time asking questions about benefits. Assuming your interviewers are potential future teammates, ask them questions about work

Sure, but now you're talking about a group set that's more expensive than most electronic shifting sets. I had 15 year old bikes that were great, but I don't have the irrational hatred for electronic groupsets that most of th

Yea, your thesis makes no sense. Refining that thesis into what Bolt/Fast/etc actually believe: - Conversion rates on the checkout page will be higher when user info is prefilled bc of less friction - This means conversion rates w

I was in the middle of an interview loop with Bolt mid-Apr, they canceled my onsite so they could (supposedly) prioritize onboarding people they'd already hired. Dodged a bullet there. Also did calls with Coinbase, Uber, and Twitter, w

Investment or not, you’re claiming people should only buy cars and houses for straight cash? News flash - most of this country isn’t sitting in six figures of tech savings.

A 32 tweet thread full of spicy allegations and you submit the one that’s about how they missed hiring targets for senior engs a year ago? FB had a hiring freeze for eng, this story is old news.

I do interviews at a FAANG. If you don’t want to post identifying info here, send me your resume and a paragraph intro and I’ll tell you what gaps hiring managers are seeing. Email is in my profile.

What an awful criteria. Your investors aren’t mortgaging or selling their houses. They’re just giving you other people’s money. Unfortunately, in a bad economy investors will hold all the cards and will be able to pressure founders into que

I don’t think I’d try to mix those things together. Same word, completely different things. In this article, a new grad who works on basic HR IT tasks for a factory is doing staff work. That’s not staff level scope in the Will Larson sense.
