That would be a prime example of what I called "unconvincing argument" above. Almost every part of your comment is wrong, too, so that certainly cannot be the reason.

As an old-timer, I don't quite understand why Emacs still is kind of a niche app after all these years even within dev circles. Most of the functionality that other editors offer is available in Emacs too, and when it isn't, then

> obesity is caused by consuming lots of carbonhydrates Sorry, what? Obesity is caused by taking in more calories than you burn off. One way to do that is through carbs, but you can just as easily consume too many calories by, say, eat

Oh, and allow me to add: I'm not criticizing, I'm just putting a possible concern out there for discussion. That's why my original post was worded as a question.

Sorry, but I feel like your comment does not actually address my concern of whether having to deal with immutable data structures in a functional way would lend itself especially well to video games. Of course, the Clojure approach is great

I love Clojure, but isn't a functional language with immutable data structures an odd choice for developing a video game?

It's fashionable to bash Google and there's probably good reasons to do so. But I agree, their search is still good (enough) for me. Over the years, I've tried others, including DDG, but ultimately returned to Google every ti

I've been using Emacs for over 25 years, and I cannot agree at all with the sentiment that the UI locks up frequently. I mean, it depends on exactly what you do with the program, but for me, the UI is always responsive.

No. I won't remember that I could fly first class for a lot more money, either, because that's equally not what I was getting at.

Having kids somewhat remedies that. I'm playing Super Mario World on an original SNES with my kids now.

Exactly this. Plus, when I was a kid, there were also other kids that had just as much time as me, and so I would hang out and actually do stuff all the time. Now, whenever I have some time off, chances are that no-one else has any time bec

What would be the point? This model has been trained on an existing game, so turning it back into assets, maps, and code would just give you a copy of the original game you started with. I suppose you could create variations of it then... b
