I think there is a "sandbox" mode in factorio which works like you describe. It has been some time since I last played but I recall it had something like that. You don't have a character in that mode.

I work for Codefresh, a CI/CD solution that has ARM support. Maybe it can help you? https://codefresh.io/docs/docs/incubation/arm-support/

Much more userfriendly. Works on all major platforms. Big public repository (dockerhub). Extensive tooling for everything. Graphical and CLI tools for all kinds of users.

You are confusing Docker = the deployment artifact with Docker = self-contained runtime perfect for CI/CD Longer answer here https://thenewstack.io/docker-based-dynamic-tooling-a-freque...

I haven't used that scenario, but you are responsible for locking. I guess if you use S3 or something similar to store/retrieve state you can easily make it work.

Terraform does not use YAML. And in the last updates they try to make their HCL more "programming language like". Pulumi is already there (they are using an actual programming language)

If you love terraform, please also look at Pulumi (I have no affiliation with them). https://pulumi.io/reference/vs/terraform.html https://github.com/pulumi/tf2pulumi

Jenkins X requires Kubernetes and Helm. Not all companies are deploying like this. (I work for Codefresh, a competitor of Jenkins X)

Agreed. I think "Painkiller" is one of the few games that actually managed (much later) to put a healthy amount of enemies against you just like Doom did..

So according to your definition Doom is a full 3d game, even though as a player I actually see 2D weapons and 2d enemies?

yes. but sprites (i.e. enemies and weapons) are the primary method of interaction with Doom. Grass and particle effects are secondary.... How many FPS AAA titles today use sprites for enemies and weapons?

Doom used 2D sprites, so "fake 3d" if you ask me.

Not really, Kubernetes is a way to manage Docker containers. Istio just supercharges the network of a Kubernetes cluster. It doesn't really manage K8s clusters.
