Do people want that? I mean I don’t think it can discern if I say 15 or 50. Why would I leave that to chance that the ai properly grokked my message when despite what I’m guessing decades of work in the speech to text field, it is still pre

Kuwait cannot do any of that unilaterally. They are a vassal state in the american hegemony.

It still breathes legitimacy into this propaganda by hosting it as such without any qualification. People might be inclined to believe the PRC, after all it is in the LA times, how untrue might it even be, they might think. Editors ought to

Seems the rate of kidnapping is currently orthogonal from the ransom so it is unclear that they will have a linear relationship in this way as you describe.

The deal becomes a subscription not indifferent from any other cost of doing business. Great for the hacker. Bad for the IT team incapable of anticipating these attack vectors.

Who do you think sits on these grant review boards? It isn’t bureaucrats. These people are scientists in the field too.

Hacker news front page would go away but not new or any top ranking. It would be nice to have a hn without the second chance queue imo.

While the us stance has resulted in savings on potential ransom, it has also lead to people being kept in prison for very long time until prisoner exchanges might be worked out. That cost to an individuals life being imprisoned is probably

Does that justify publishing propaganda on your platform though? Editorial board should be media literate enough to know this. Of course, the LA times credibility has been tarnished since their billionaire owner bought it and started puttin

Plenty have dropped mac support even major devs that used to support it well. Paradox interactive no longer develops for mac. Valve also no longer develops for mac.

Ios actually is far better than macos for old apps. I have a few ancient maybe 8-10 year old ios apps on my iphone that have not received updates and still work fine. Can’t say the same for macos because they decided to drop 32bit support.

It is a value judgement. It is life. It is not a rock. It merely lacks sentience, as far as we are aware at least. May I ask what you think of a human in a coma? Are they also no different than a rock to you?

Of course it is. Play is a very basal behavior we see in a host of species among their young. Its biological role is to build up musculature and social bonding such that the individual will be strong enough and socialized enough to do what
